Fortunately, the machine has no humanity, feeling, and creativity at present. But it will be more intelligent than human expectation. AI Chatbots has been using in many businesses whether to automatic reply to customers, improve daily operations, or request a ride for example. AI Chatbot technologies like Google Allo, Facebook Messenger, Windows Cortana, and Telegram have been using by businesses to increase sales and customer services.
A customer can ask questions by just type in on business website or apps and get an answer in real time. Now chatbots can understand what someone is trying to say. The advanced technology has provided AI chatbots with an ability to scale.
Think of when you call a call centre for help, how long did you wait for a customer advisor to answer your call? Yes, it’s really frustrating. Sometimes you just hung up the phone and tried again and again with no hope, just only for a simple question. Many businesses have realised that problems and some businesses have been using AI Chatbots to help answer those simple questions and advising users in the right direction when needed.
The development of AI Chatbots is underway due to the massive demand for advance questions to assist the customer and quicker answers. We probably see a significant changed on customer service that has taken over by virtual assistants but didn’t realise how much this will impact customer advisor jobs.
According to Gartner, By 2020, customers will manage 85% of their relationship with the enterprise without interacting with a human.
This may worry you but on the other hand, it has a possibility to open up new jobs that never existed previously. In perspective of beneficial, it will make customer services easier, and not as scary as it might seem.
#4. News Feed
Algorithms are everywhere without anybody notice or care about. What we see on news feed nowaday may not make us realised it was AI jobs?
There are many world businesses are using AI for their news feed.
Facebook’s News Feed: Every time you use Facebook, AI will collect and scans your activities like posted, followed, joined groups, liked Facebook pages, and everything your friends posted in the past week. Facebook’s news feed algorithm ranks all your activities in order of how likely you are interested in each post and how your friends interact with each post then it will show the most relevant news feed on you top posts alongside with the lower-ranked post.
If you click on the one you prefer to read, it’s matched. But if you’re not interested to read the machine will learn and collect feedback to make it better by human’s optimisation. Although Facebook’s news feed algorithm is still driving force to rank posts in your feed, Facebook also gives users the ability to control what they like to see at the top of your feed as the privacy is a priority concern.
Facebook is also using AI to reduce links to “low-quality web page experiences” from users’ News Feeds. This effort is to prevent users from misleading, sensational and spammy posts especially fake news.
According to Facebook’s statement: “We have had a policy in place since last year to prevent advertisers with low-quality web page experiences from advertising on our platform. Now, we are increasing enforcement on ads and also taking into account organic posts in News Feed.
With this update, we reviewed hundreds of thousands of web pages linked to from Facebook to identify those that contain little substantive content and have a large number of disruptive, shocking or malicious ads. We then used artificial intelligence to understand whether new web pages shared on Facebook have similar characteristics. So if we determine a post might link to these types of low-quality web pages, it may show up lower in people’s feeds and may not be eligible to be an ad. This way people can see fewer misleading posts and more informative posts.”
Facebook has rolled out these changes which publishers will see a small increase or decline in traffic depends on how their audiences like their posts.
Google search algorithm has relevant results for the answers you are looking for. When you do search on Google, it will sort through the hundreds of billions of web pages in its ranking systems to give you the best results by using algorithms to analyse your words and bring the useful information from the web.
A website that using repeat keywords or buying links, will class as spammy due to provide a very poor user experience and could mislead Google’s users. The algorithms will remove sites that identify as spam.

#7. Human Resources
Machine learning offers the ability to easier to understand how human interact by collecting and analysing data, behaviours, interests, etc. It can help automate simple tasks related to staffing and recruiting.
While Artificial intelligence and machine learning can be useful tools, the fact is it cannot develop a real relationship with candidates. The machine may help in gathering information, screening, matching and scheduling the interview, predict about manpower needs in the future, and help recruiter develop an effective strategy.
But machines cannot understand candidate’s feeling and nuances in an interview. So, why you should worry about job security and role improvements.
According to Forbes, A Narrative Science survey found last year that 38% of enterprises are already using AI, growing to 62% by 2018. Forrester Research predicted a greater than 300% increase in investment in artificial intelligence in 2017 compared with 2016. IDC estimated that the AI market will grow from $8 billion in 2016 to more than $47 billion in 2020.
To prepare at the first hand, you need to know the impact of future AI as a recruiter. Here are something you should know about:
- Google job search. Now you are able to just go to google search and type the job title you are looking for, searching for nearby jobs, or jobs in a new location for examples.
- Recruiter tools. There are some tools to help HR jobs much easier and quicker. The hiring systems will change the way recruiters used to do. These huge changes are already here and more coming soon.
- Jobs that will be taken over by Robots. Some jobs will be gone in the future and recruiter will need to know by now. Here the first 7 jobs: Truck drivers, Construction workers, Legal support staff, Medical professionals and doctors, Accountants, Report writers, and Salespeople.
Now you have it all. Don’t be scared by this news though. You just need to get prepared to deal with whatever coming up to your ways. However, I don’t think the robots will be replaced everything human do at least not in the near future anyway. So you are not late!
Should we be scared the impact of AI?
